This week we were introduced to Gary, who introduced us to Avid video editing software. Avid was a lot more complex than the average video editing software I was used to such as Adobe Premiere Pro. There is no ability to simply drag and drop audio from an external source into the software; there is no ability to drag and drop video onto the editing timeline and you have to select portions of video and extract or replace them, rather than simply cutting and deleting or moving around the timeline.
We were also introduced to EditShare. The external network where we could store all our source footage for editing to access all around the University network, and without worrying about file size.
